EducationGuardian.co.uk | News crumb |: This is an interesting thing to cogitate over. Especially when you call to mind a recent observation on the margins of various bits of the debate over the remarks of Frost and Hirsch and how some felt that there was some kind of Aussie blokey thing going on [for the record I am unconvinced -just think that they overdid the liminality thing]. Anyway, one of the things that has cropped up a couple of times is the observation that alt.worship may be more male attended -"toys for the boys" and perhaps that links with the last para of the referenced article:
"The use of information and communications technology in teaching yielded dramatic improvements across the board. Boys who shunned traditional writing tasks and who rejected inappropriate 'babyish' books given to them by teachers, wrote lengthy and imaginative emails to fictional characters."
... and if it helps address the gender imbalance in church/active Christian faith, are we really saying that's a bad thing? If AltWorship get men involved, let's do it!
Nous like scouse or French -oui? We wee whee all the way ... to mind us a bunch of thunks. Too much information? How could that be?
