No this is not child slavery. It's a neat idea to use the kinetic energy of kids at play to generate power for, in this case, pumping water in South Africa. It appealed to me because it's a bit like my suggestion that we harness the efforts of exercisers in gymnasia to offset the power use of the gyms or even in our own homes to get some electrity fed back to the grid from our own exercise machines. better body care and better for the environment too.
