France, catechism and bishops; La nouvelle catéchèse

Lately I've seen Britain described as the most secular country in the west. Well, here's the other candidate for that title and it is interesting to note the similarities, the churches in both countries are struggling with losing the younger generations. A recent conference of French RC bishops at Lourdes has been noting that they can no longer rely on the faith to be passed on in the bosom of the family.
