Confession of belittling suffering

For those who join me in praying for peace in the Basque Country, good news that one of the key protagonists of past violent attitudes on the Basque side recognises some past wrongs

"We made out that we didn't care about the suffering of others and that the end justified all. This was clearly a mistake,'' Arnaldo Otegi was quoted as saying to the Catalan-language daily Avui in an interview published Monday.
"We have learned that nobody is absolutely right, that there are people who see things differently from us,''
