Armed Basque group ETA says "it will keep on fighting"

Those who are joining me in praying for the Basque country may be disappointed, as I am, to read this.
Three hooded ETA´s spokesmen read a release in the occasion of the Armed Basque group´s Gudari Eguna. The release said, “we comprosime to continue fighting with weapons till we get independence and socialism in the Basque Country”.

I'm not sure what 'comprosime' is, some glitch of auto translation. Probably means 'promise'.
Anyway, more work to be done in prayer...

Andy, you should be more concerned about the escalation of repressive measures against the Basque society. To date the Madrid government has doen absolutely nothing positive towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

Actually, Aleksu, I am. However, I am a committed believer in non violence and happen also to think that having armed groups actually damages real progress. At some point they have to disarm, look at the IRA.... However, that doesn't excuse the Madrilleno gvernment's relative intransigence historically, and I understand that there is a constitutional issue in the wings too. I quite understand why some people might resort to arms. But while I lived there I was careful not to contribute to the armed struggle via Herri Batasuna [as they then were] because I think it counterproductive.

"Spend and tax" not "tax and spend"

I got a response from my MP which got me kind of mad. You'll see why as I reproduce it here. Apologies for the strange changes in types...
