An example to follow

If you're beginning to think there may be something in this Ubunti Linux thing, you might like to take a note of this recent convert (and this was why). The blog promises to log further learning over time.
Today I upgraded to Ubuntu. While my daughter napped I downloaded version 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" and burned it to CD. I was nervous but I put the CD in and rebooted. I chose the default installation that automatically partitions the drive and keeps Windows available should you want to return to it.

Useful to me to know that the CD for the latest version seems to do a good job of partitioning with Windoze already on the system as my new job will mean that I will probably want to convert the computer that comes with the job to a dual boot system.

I've been using Ubuntu for over a year and it's been great, even though I don't have any technical skills. It's really user friendly.

"Spend and tax" not "tax and spend"

I got a response from my MP which got me kind of mad. You'll see why as I reproduce it here. Apologies for the strange changes in types...
