Praying The Pattern goes ebook

I've been thinking about it for a few months and finally decided to do it: publish Praying the Pattern as an ebook. So here it is. (Please note that the 'badge' on the embedded module just below, saying "Launch my ebook" is signalling that it will open in a new window with some kind of flash -I presume- application loaded to read the book: an in-browser e-reader)

PS it was interesting to note that the first posting of this post had "Praying the Patter" 'Freudian' slip?

I am very excited to discover this resource. Recently, the Lord has recalled me into ministry as I prayed "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" WITH a representative of the church hierarchy. (I am a retired clergywoman with 24 years of active service in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church). I have begun to answer this call by seeking ways to revitalize the prayer ministries of the church I have been attending since my retirement. I prayed for months about how to do this, when suddenly it dawned on me that the Lord's Prayer is the key! So, I have been working with the church's associate pastor in developing a "Walk Through the Lord's Prayer" during Holy Week. I have gathered various artists and designers within the church, and I am coordinating a rather unique event. A painter has painted 6 pieces of art to represent 6 portions of the Lord's Prayer. We will post the six paintings in our family life center on the doors of 6 meeting rooms. Then another team of people have worked on designing a appropriate creative meditation space for each of the petitions of the Lord's Prayer in the room behind the painting. I have developed a meditation guide, so people who participate will first pray the Lord's Prayer using the paintings as a visual meditation tool (rather like the stations of the cross). Participants will then enter one or more of the rooms to engage in a deeper meditation of each petition.

I am also teaching a small group (with 6 students) class on "Praying with Power" using a new study book by John Ortberg and Bill Hybels.

There are a few normal logistical hitches as I prepare for the upcoming prayerwalk. But I'm not too worried about most of them. I AM seeking inspiration and possibly your help. The meditation I have developed for the praying of the Lord's Prayer is designed for an individual to accomplish with silent prayer and reflection. I want to develop a GROUP liturgy so a GROUP can pray each petition of the Lord's Prayer. I have ordered your book, but I do not think it will arrive soon enough. And I have seen your e-book, but the print is so small I can barely read it. Could you please contact me at my email address so I can consult with you about this project? halehawk@cfl.rr.com
