It's like waiting for buses: you wait for ages and then three come along in convoy. So a couple of times I meniton what I good idea I think it'd be if we had a gym where the apparatus is generating electricity from the exertions of the clients and how it might be good if we could do the same in our own homes: generate some 'leccy as we exercies for half an hour or so a do, sell the stuff back into the grid. Well, at last, it appears that I am not a lone voice ... who will give us the technology to make this happen?
I love this link to Gandhi too, but I suspect what would really sell the idea is that you could pay for your exercise equipment over time by using it to generate leccy: good for your health, good for our planetary health! The Ghandi connection is fine and iluminating but it probably won't excite most potential users of products such as this.
