A little while back I blogged about the difficulties with the 'weaker brother' argument and thought that it was worth flagging up another couple of wrestlings with the matter one is a click on the title and the other is here.
Basically, the point in them all is that there is a misuse going around of Paul's protections for those of tender conscience to disallow anything we don't like that other Christians might do in good faith. They point out that people who aren't as 'mature' as 'us' might be caused to stumble in their faith by some actions of ours so we should not do them. Cue the loss of Christian liberty to those who get strange ideas, bees in their bonnets and just plain think that we shouldn't have more fun than them. Just call out 'weaker brother' and whatever it is stops in its tracks. Can't be right, can it? It's not; check out the links.

Hi Sam, nice site you have. I'm wracking my brains but not sure that I can help a great deal, except a certain feeling of being marginalised myself ...
If I think of anything, I'll call attention to it.
