Death after fasting for 23 days

I thought that I'd flag this up because it has all the marks of something that could become a cause celebre offering Christian-bashing opportunities. So we should note that the cause of death remains unknown and they are about to launch a toxicology enquiry in this case. Though I would always caution care with fasting, it is worth noting this general medical opinion.
Dr Asker Jeukendrup, a nutritionist at the University of Birmingham, said it was unlikely that 23 days of starvation would kill a normally healthy and average weight person, who would be able to stand 40 days of total fasting without serious ill-effects. But he pointed out that the longer someone goes without food the more the body becomes vulnerable to illness and infection.

"Spend and tax" not "tax and spend"

I got a response from my MP which got me kind of mad. You'll see why as I reproduce it here. Apologies for the strange changes in types...
