Divine suffering: some theses

For those theologically inclined and interested in the notion of 'The Crucified God' and the challenges to traditional theologies of the impassibility of God, here's an interesting and helpful response which puts the issues succinctly. If you want to follow up in more detail, I recommend Thomas Weinandys 'Does God Suffer?', which is a comprehensive and well researched defence of the traditional theology in terms of Thomist philosophy. Not necessarily an easy read, though.
