Gmail -a personal file server?

I already use a gmail account for specialised work -storing academic articles and the like so I can access them pretty much anywhwer with an internet connection and add to them similarly. This take things a step further by making it appear like you have a drive on your desktop. Works with Windows and all the instructions are here. I'm looking out for a Linux version, of course.
If you fancy this and want a gmail account just email me and I'll arrange for an invite for you ... I've got loads.
HOW-TO: Use your Gmail account as a personal file server - Engadget - www.engadget.com.

It's not particularly easy to setup though.

I'm far happy to have an actual personal file server connected to our cable connection at home.

"Spend and tax" not "tax and spend"

I got a response from my MP which got me kind of mad. You'll see why as I reproduce it here. Apologies for the strange changes in types...
