Humble soil heats stone farmhouses in chilly Aberdeen

Basically using stored heat from soil around the house using very efficient heat pumps and it offeres immediatesavings so it would be more attractive to many householders than solar or wind options which repay over a longer period of time."The heat pumps have a 25 year life expectancy and with the low running costs, owners are expected to save money on their heating bills immediately. The company claim that all that is needed is enough land to allow pipes to be laid, either horizontally or vertically."
